Chapter 10

Then, all of the sudden a fox did come out of the bush. Oh great. Why now? Wings thought, and she hoped she wasn't thinking out loud. Suddenly, she found herself staring at four more birds. Well.. she didn't exactly know if one of them was a bird. She was so fast, Wings could only see a blur.
But then a hummingbird with a very sharp beak appeared.
She threw her beak against the fox, and with a sharp howl of pain, the fox limped away. Wings felt sort of sorry for this poor fox, but she couldn't focus on that right now. "Hello" Wings started awkwardly. No bird had said anything since that fox attack.
Wings looked around at the others faces. A couple birds' mouths were open in astonishment, but some other birds kept their faces as steely and hard as ever. Wings wasn't sure they were too happy about other birds taking their battle for them, but Wings didn't care about that.
Wings was actually happy because maybe she could get them to join their side. They could use more birds these days, with fox fights, evil cats and finding Speckle and all... "Would you like to...uhh... Join our bird colony?" Wings asked quickly, as if expecting the answer to be no.
 "I would love to! My name is Xena." said the bird who had been very fast. Wings had just noticed an X shaped scar on her forehead and wondered what it was from. " I would, too. My name is Stripey" said another bird in a very jolly tone of voice. "I would as well. My name is Sorrow." the bird named Sorrow said  very mysteriously... That made Wings kind of uneasy, but she let it go.
 "Will you except us? Oh and I would like to join as well. My name is Blue Wings." Another said shortly.
"Of course we will except you all." Wings said glancing over at Aqua Feather who was glaring at Blue Wings, probably just because of their name alike ness. Hopefully they will get along okay... Well I cant think about that now... we have a bird to save! Wings thought.
"Uhh... Guys... We are already a couple of miles away from where Speckle. I just simply cannot remember which way we came, and I am the smart one here!" Eclipse said matter-of-factly which bothered Wings a lot. "Well then let's make a plan" Sorrow said.


Authors note: Thank you to the recent sign-ups, I have found inspiration to write another chapter on this blog! Yay! Although I doubt anyone reads it anymore... ^.^

Chapter 9 : Strange Sightings...

As soon as the cat poked her head back into the window, Wings and Flare went back up. But low of course, they didn't want to scare or startle the cat, for they could get trapped, too. "We need another plan, Flare. This one isn't working." Wings whispered. "I guess..." Flare whispered back. Just then, Wings heard what sounded like a rustle in the bushes. "That better not be a Fox, that's the last thing we need right now!" Wings whispered. The rustle became louder and louder.




Authors note: Sorry....I took a two hour break from writing this...and I kind-of lost my fire to write this chapter :P. But I'm glad I got another one out.

Chapter 8 : Strange sightings...

"Yup" Flare said. "Well, Anyway, We have to find Speckle soon!" Wings added. "Yes, Yes, Yes, we do. But, we need a plan..." Flare added. " Ah-ha! I have a plan!" Wings said. "What is it?" Whispered Flare. "We break-in. It's the only way. It is a terrible thing to do, But they did a terrible thing to us" Wings whispered back. "Oka-a-a-a-ay.....Let's go" Flare said. Wings and Flare hurried across the river and far to the west. They finally reached the Evil Neighbors' house. "I don't think their neighbors anymore...I mean they live so far away..." Wings said. "Shhhh!" Flare said quietly. Wings heard the sound of soft whispering, Wings listened hard, it sounded like : "We will take them down north, and that will be their FINAL spot. we have already starved them, now we shall KILL them" Wings heard, It sounded like an old lady, cruel. But she was much bigger than a Bird...Wings poked her eye in, A cat! "Flare a cat captured Speckle!" Wings whispered. "Yes I know, I heard what you heard now please be quiet so we can hear more, I'm sorry if this sounds harsh" Flare whispered solemnly. By now, the cat had poked her head out the window, Wings and Flare ducked -- For their lives!

Chapter 7 : Strange Sightings...

After Hunting, After every bird had gone to sleep, Wings was wide awake. We have to find Speckle! Wings thought, The only sound she could hear was the distant sound of Crickets.
 I know what I have to do, Suddenly, something interrupted Wings' thoughts, It sounded like a Bird......"Hello? Wings?" Then, The bird came to clear sight. It was Flare.
 "Flare! You scared me!" Wings said, Whispering a little to loudly. "Shhhh! It's the dead of night! Everyone would be sleeping....." Flares voice trailed off.
 "What do you mean would be?" Asked Wings. "Well, I've heard that another pod has set up their Home across the rover Over there," Flare pointed to the distant side of the River, "There apparently dangerous when Night falls...." Flare said. Wings eyes widened "Dangerous?"
"Yes, Last night, When you were out Hunting, Eclipse told me something very Intresting....." Flare said, " Eclipse said 'I think that those new Neighbors took Speckle...' Of course I didin't belive it, Intil I went over there and spyed, Thats why you are with me now. Anyway, I saw A bird in there thats looked like Speckle.....The same Cream splotches, Even the same way...........That she shouts for Help........" Flares Voice trailed off.
 "A-a-a-a-are you saying--" Wings for cut off, "Yes, And guess what, They have moved Tonight to a deeper more dangerous part of the rain forest. The parts with Tigers." Said Flare Whispering very intensely.
 At that Wings shivered. "I can face the deep parts of this Rain Forest...." Said Wings, Half truthfully.
"Wings, I cant even do it, I don't think that you can...That is Alone." Flares voice went dark, As if she had lost it. "Will you come Flare?" Asked Wings. "Sure..." Flare said, Scarcely. " We need a plan, though..." Wings said in a low tone-of-voice. "Well, We were sure Wrong about the Cat taking Speckle......" Wings' voice trailed off.....
